Went for the first time yesterday and the food was so good. Can't wait to go back. YUM!
We wanted something different and unique for dinner and we definitely found it here at Mambos. This cute little place is super inviting, clean, relaxing and fun. We stayed for our dinner and we were glad we did. We met the owner and her husband they were such a delight to speak with. That in it self is why you should come here. It is a family owned business that works really hard! Now for the food it's super authentic. We ordered the shrimp mofongo with red sauce. It was the best dish out of everything we ordered the mofongo was creamy and moist and the sauce was amazing and brought everything together. We also ordered ropa veija with white rice and black beans. Another stunner. I absolutely loved everything about the shredded beef, sweet plantains and the rice and beans and lastly the pernil with yellow rice and pigeon peas. The pork was moist and went great with the rice. The portions are large and everything is fresh. Nothing is over seasoned or salty. We finished with a flan over chocolate cake which was amazing. I absolutely love that it is a different type of restaurant we can come to. The food is amazing and you just have to come check it out. Street parking
New Cuban/Puerto Rican food joint for the soul!!! Sorry guys food was really good and forgot to take pictures , BUT I have to tell you that the food was deliciously prepared and full of flavor!!! I had the chicharrón mofongo and my wife had the steak and onions with white rice and beans. The owners are so welcoming and you feel like you have known them forever, they have made a new customer out of me, definitely coming back to try other stuff on the menu.
Saw them on social media and been wanting to visit. I'm glad I finally did! Super friendly couple helped me and the food was fresh and delicious. I can safely say I will be a now regular here for sure
We just had a 200 guest wedding catered by Mambos, the food was outstanding!!! Everyone commented on how authentic and delicious the food was! Great Job!!
I'm so happy to have another option of Latin food in Staten Island. And one that is authentic with home cook dishes!! We ordered Pernil and Shrimp, Fried Chicken Mofongo. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. Also it's really a plus when you get great costumer service!!
This place is exceptional! The food, the service, the presentationall outstanding. Everything is authentic, made with love, so so yummy! You truly feel like you're in a family members Kitchen. We stumbled upon this place randomly but we can't wait to come back! An absolute gem.
Food was delicious!!! Staff was also very welcoming and so pleasant to speak with. The interior was quaint and very clean. We ordered ropa vieja, pernil, beef, beef&cheese, and chicken empanadas. They had a cute little outdoor seating area that we took advantage of while the weather lasts. We didn't get pics of food bc we were too busy enjoying it. We would def visit again.
